Kim Anderson

Kim Anderson, PhD, is an experienced analytical lab manager and teaching assistant at Vanderbilt University since January 2021, overseeing the analytical and forensics teaching labs while providing support in physical chemistry labs. Previous roles include research engineer at Federal-Mogul Motorparts focusing on raw material analysis and product development, and graduate teaching assistant at The University of Alabama where Kim taught quantitative analysis and general chemistry. With a strong research background in synthesizing inorganic nanowires and extensive experience in various laboratory settings, Kim holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Materials Science from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Austin Peay State University. Additional experience includes roles such as chemist at TestAmerica and managerial positions in retail and convenience stores, alongside service in the US Navy.
