Samar S. Ali

Samar S. Ali is a prominent legal and political scholar currently serving as Senior Advisor to the Chancellor and Research Professor of Law & Political Science at Vanderbilt University since January 2021. In addition, Samar is the President & CEO of Millions of Conversations, promoting unity around shared values, and a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum, focusing on driving positive global change. With extensive experience in the legal field, Samar has held positions as International Counsel at Bass, Berry & Sims, and as an attorney at Bone McAllester Norton PLLC, specializing in national security and international law. Furthermore, Samar co-founded Lodestone Advisory Group, a management consulting firm, and has served on the boards of organizations like Winrock International and the E Pluribus Unum Foundation. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Vanderbilt University.
