Zaruhi Sahakyan

Zaruhi Sahakyan serves as a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Vanderbilt University since August 2016, having previously held the position of Lecturer at the same institution. Prior experience includes a Faculty Affiliate role at the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center from September 2013 to August 2016, and a Lecturer position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January 2009 to August 2016. Zaruhi gained early experience as an Intern at Allianz in late 1998 and served as Vice President of Exchange for AIESEC in Armenia from September 1995 to October 1998, overseeing exchange programs for Yerevan State University. Zaruhi holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an M.A. in International and Development Economics from Yale University, and a Diplom in Economics from Yerevan State University.
