Elke van Hauwermeiren

Elke Van Hauwermeiren is an experienced plant manager with a strong background in operations and production management. Currently serving as Plant Manager at Vandersanden since December 2022, Elke previously held key roles as Director of Operations at RPI Print and Production Director at Metallo Group, where significant achievements included implementing change management and continuous improvement programs, enhancing safety awareness, and integrating sustainability into operations. With earlier positions ranging from Production Manager at Aleris to Production Superintendent at Nyrstar, overseeing a large-scale zinc smelter, and a foundation in project engineering, Elke possesses a comprehensive skill set in managing complex production environments. Elke earned a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Polymers, from HOGENT.
