Brecht van Colen

Brecht Van Colen is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in automation and machine software development. Currently employed at NV Michel Van de Wiele since June 2017, Brecht is responsible for developing and maintaining machine software and overseeing its rollout to global production plants. Prior experience includes a role as a design engineer in automation at Bekaert from September 2008 to April 2017, where responsibilities included developing new machine software, creating specifications with customers, supervising design electrical drawings, and providing on-site start-up training. Brecht holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Automation Engineer Technology from Ghent University, completed in 2008.
