Daniel Villegas

Daniel Villegas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental health and quality assurance. Currently serving in the role of Environmental Health Safety at Vänersborgs Kommun since May 2022, Daniel previously worked as an Environment and Health Inspector for Lidköpings Kommun from March 2020 to May 2022. Prior positions include Head of Quality Assurance at Salinity, where Daniel managed product quality across various categories, and at Saltwell, contributing to the development of new salt products for international markets. Daniel's earlier roles include Quality Chef in multiple poultry processing companies, where leadership of HACCP teams and communication with health authorities were key responsibilities. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Quality and Operations Management from Chalmers University of Technology and has additional qualifications in Engineering/Industrial Management and Food Science and Technology, along with certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
