Joel Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Joel started their career as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Barnett Outdoors in 2012, where they gained experience in CAD file creation and modification. Joel then joined the University of South Florida in 2013, where they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and later as a Graduate Research Assistant. In these roles, they provided academic support to students, assisted in designing and running experiments, and generated technical reports and documentation. In 2015, Joel joined Vanguard Protex Global as an Associate Engineer before being promoted to the role of Mechanical Engineer in 2016. At Vanguard Protex Global, they manage multiple projects and works with a team of engineers to design innovative retail security solution products for clients in the consumer electronics industry.
Joel Jenkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida from 2009 to 2012. Joel continued their education at the same institution from 2013 to 2015 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In April 2015, Joel also obtained a certification as a Certified Solidworks Associate from Dassault Systèmes.
