Amy Gutmann is president of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she is the Christopher H. Browne Distinguished Professor of Political Science in Penn's School of Arts and Sciences and professor of communication in its Annenberg School for Communication, and holds secondary faculty appointments in the Department of Philosophy of the School of Arts and Sciences and at the Graduate School of Education. Dr. Gutmann is a trustee of the National Constitution Center. She became a Vanguard director in 2006.
