Ken Jacobs

Ken Jacobs currently serves as senior chairman to the board of Lazard, Inc., where he has spent nearly four decades in leadership roles. He previously served as chairman and chief executive officer for 14 years, concluding his tenure in 2023. Mr. Jacobs also serves as vice chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago and the Brookings Institution. In addition, he is a director of the Partnership for New York City and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In 2017, he was inducted into the French Legion of Honor. Mr. Jacobs joined Vanguard’s board of directors in 2026.
