Monalisa Mazumdar

Monalisa Mazumdar is an accomplished data scientist with a robust background in AI, machine learning, and computer vision. Currently serving as Principal Data Scientist at Vanguard since May 2018, Monalisa has held various titles including Senior AI and Machine Learning Scientist and Advice AI & Analytics Lead. Prior experience includes a role as Research Engineer at Iris ID Systems Inc., where focus was on developing algorithms for object detection, tracking, and iris recognition systems. Additional experience includes website design and development at Managed Cyber Solutions and research as a fellow at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, specializing in human-robot interaction through gesture recognition. Monalisa's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Vision and Image Processing from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology and a Master's degree in Physics from Gauhati University, where Monalisa also served as an Assistant Professor teaching various postgraduate computer science modules.
