Jurgen Desmedt

Jurgen Desmedt is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the recycling and waste management sectors. Currently serving as a member of the Executive Committee Recycling at Vanheede Environment Group since January 2009, Jurgen has held various managerial roles, including BU Manager for Plastic Recovery and Landfill Solutions, as well as Director of the Centre of Competence. Prior to this, Jurgen gained experience as General Manager at West Waste Treatment nv and WVM, and in managerial positions at Barco and De Witte Lietaer. Jurgen's educational background includes an MBA from Vlerick Business School and a Master’s in Textile Technology from Ghent University. Additionally, Jurgen contributes to strategic discussions as a member of the Advisory Board at Lerobel.
