Simon Zühlke

Co-Founder & MD at Vanilla Steel

Simon Zühlke is a German entrepreneur and business executive. Simon is the co-founder and managing director of Vanilla Steel, Europe's largest marketplace for metal trading. Simon also served as a founding member and vice president of public relations for Toastmasters International, a public speaking club in Berlin-Mitte with over 30 members. Additionally, they were an entrepreneur in residence at thyssenkrupp Steel, advising the management board on new digital business models within the steel industry.

Prior to their work with Vanilla Steel, Simon was employed at JobTeaser as the country lead for DACH and head of business development for DACH. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting and managing a team of over 30 employees, as well as adapting the product to market needs. After three years, they helped prepare the company for a new launch in the B2B-recruiting platform market (DACH).

Before their time at JobTeaser, Simon worked as a senior associate and then associate at Stern Stewart & Co., where they led consultancy projects for several international blue-chip companies with the objective of top-line growth through innovation. Simon began their career as an intern at Stern Stewart & Co., before becoming a diploma student at Porsche Consulting.

Simon Zühlke has a Master of Science from ESCP Europe, a Bachelor of Science from Technische Universität Darmstadt, and an exchange semester from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Simon also has an Introduction to Negotiation from Yale University.
