Ian McLaughlin has an extensive work experience in the banking and financial services industry. Ian is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer at Vanquis Banking Group, a role they started in July 2023. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2023, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Ireland (UK) plc. Before that, they held various positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, including Managing Director from 2018 to 2019 and Managing Director, Specialist Banking from 2012 to 2019. Ian also worked at Lloyds Banking Group as the Director of Wealth Management from 2007 to 2011 and at Zurich Financial Services as the UK Distribution Marketing Director from 1993 to 2004.
Ian McLaughlin attended Queen's University Belfast, where they obtained a B.Sc (Hons) degree. Prior to that, they studied at Sullivan Upper School. No specific start or end years were provided for either educational institution.
