Tony Melia

Tony Melia has a strong background in technology and project management. Tony is currently working as the Chief Engineering Officer at Vanquis Banking Group since January 2024. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of Delivery at the same company from January 2022 to December 2023. Before joining Vanquis Banking Group, Tony served as the Chief Technology Officer at AGIL IT starting in March 2021. Tony also worked at The Modern Milkman as the Head of Development from March 2021 to December 2021. Tony's previous experience includes roles such as Senior Associate at Fruition Consulting in 2021 and Senior Solutions Delivery Manager at Provident Financial Group - Provident HC & Satsuma from July 2018 to March 2021. Tony has also held positions at Enghouse Networks as a Senior Project/Development Manager from December 2015 to November 2016, CTI Group as a Senior Development/Project Manager from November 2003 to December 2015, Data Defined as a Technical Director from June 2008 to August 2015, Digitec Direct as a Software Developer from 2000 to 2003, and finally, Broadsystem as a Developer from 2000 to 2001.

Tony Melia completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Software Development from The University of Huddersfield in 2000. Prior to that, they attended Holy Cross College from 1994 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, Tony has obtained certifications such as Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in October 2017. Other certifications include First Aid in the Workplace, Lead Implementer - TickIT Plus from BSI, and Prince 2 Practitioner from the Office of Government Commerce.
