Greg Hughes

Greg Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Greg began their career as a photojournalist, working for newspapers and magazines. Greg then transitioned into law enforcement, serving as a law enforcement officer in various roles, including public schools and juvenile division detectives. After this, they joined the City of Farmington in New Mexico, where they played a key role in implementing a community policing program.

Greg then moved into the technology sector, working at Corillian Corporation as Chief Security Executive and Vice President of IT and Security. Greg was responsible for overseeing IT and security operations, budget, and performance measurement. Greg also led the development and implementation of security standards, policies, and practices.

Following their tenure at Corillian Corporation, Greg established an independent consultancy, specializing in IT and cybersecurity projects. Greg provided executive-level consulting to clients in various industries, including government, insurance, financial services, and software sectors.

Later, Greg joined Fiserv, where they served in multiple roles. As VP, Risk and Information Security Officer, they managed multiple organizations accountable for risk strategy and operations, including web and mobile banking software security and regulatory compliance. Greg also worked as a Director of Security Strategy, overseeing enterprise-wide security efforts and IT project delivery.

Currently, Greg is with Van's Aircraft, where they hold the position of Vice President - Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the company's operations. Prior to this position, they served as the Director of Media, Marketing, and Community.

Greg Hughes attended Los Alamos High School from an unknown start year until 1985, where they obtained a graduate degree. Later, they attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1986 until 2000, majoring in Journalism. In 2013, Greg obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA.
