Adam Barber

Adam Barber is an accomplished data engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership roles, currently serving as Data Engineering Manager and previously as Staff Data Engineer and Sr. Data Engineer at Vanta since September 2022. Prior to Vanta, Adam Barber held several key positions at Picwell from August 2017 to September 2022, including Director of Data Science and Data Operations, where responsibilities encompassed managing data operations and science teams, improving data processing technologies, and overseeing significant client onboarding projects. Adam's technical expertise includes developing scalable data solutions using Python and various AWS services, as well as contributions to core modeling frameworks for health insurance products. Earlier roles at The MathWorks involved customer engagement and technical support, while academic experiences at Northwestern University and Johns Hopkins University focused on robotics and fluid dynamics. Adam Barber holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
