Ethan Melious is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and team management. As the Director of Engineering at Vanta since August 2025, Ethan heads the GRC Core engineering team. Previously, Ethan served as Sr. Director of Engineering at OpenGov Inc., overseeing engineering for procurement and revenues, and held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Tobii Dynavox®, where significant improvements in release frequency and workflow efficiencies were achieved. Additional experience includes roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Fiserv, and Versatile Mobile Systems, where Ethan developed innovative solutions and led international teams in various engineering capacities. Ethan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Messiah University in 2007.
