Matthew Pater has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical and electronics engineering. Matthew started their career as an Electrical Engineering Co-op at Coast Mountain Bus Company in 2007. From 2006 to 2009, they served as the Lead Electrical Engineer for Formula SAE UBC, where they led the design and prototyping of a formula race car. In 2009, they joined VMAC as an Electrical Engineer and later became the Lead Electrical Engineer, responsible for designing throttle controllers for underhood air-compressor systems in collaboration with truck manufacturers. In 2015, Matthew joined Vantage Power as the Chief Electrical and Electronics Engineer, overseeing electrical and electronics engineering activities, including product development and high-level decision making. Matthew's work experience demonstrates their expertise in electrical engineering and their ability to take on leadership roles.
Matthew Pater attended The University of British Columbia from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
