Hiba Shahid

Hiba Shahid is a Clinical Scientist specializing in Outcomes Research at Vantive since February 2025, where responsibilities include data analysis and statistical model development for medical device implementation. Previously, Hiba worked at Baxter International Inc. from March 2020 to February 2025, holding roles from Senior Engineer to Quality Associate II, contributing to early-concept medical devices and receiving the Global Renal Care Award of Excellence in Innovation in 2023. Experience also includes serving as CTO at Vitrix Health, leading the development of an oral cancer screening device, and working as an R&D Engineer at InnSight Technologies on diagnostic sensors for eye trauma. Hiba founded PhantomCor, a startup focused on cardiac simulation devices, and gained hands-on engineering experience through internships with Engineering World Health and research roles at Carle Foundation Hospital. Hiba is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, following a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
