Andy Chew

Andy Chew is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Group Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Group Finance at Sapura Energy Berhad since April 2021. Prior to this, Andy spent over seven years with Shell, where roles included Head of Reporting and Finance Director for various Shell companies in Malaysia. A strong background in financial reporting and governance was developed during time at Shell, particularly in leading financial preparations, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Earlier experience includes significant positions in Shell’s Upstream operations across Asia, focusing on business planning, cost management, and financial governance, alongside foundational roles at ATRACC and Shell Malaysia Trading. Andy holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Malaya, completed in 1991.
