Nita Vera

Nita Vera has diverse work experience in various roles within the creative field. Since 2022, they have been working as a Creative Content Designer at Vapa Media. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelancer under their own name, starting in 2010. Additionally, Nita served as a Master Thesis Assessor at Aalto University, School of Art and Design, Media Centre Lume from September 2020 onwards. Nita also gained experience as a Board Member at the Art Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) from December 2018 to December 2022. Nita was part of the PBFF collective from January 2017 to February 2021, working as a Producer, Curator, and handling various tasks such as curating, project production, content creation, and PR. Nita briefly worked as a Marketing and Communications Specialist at Trevian from August 2018 to September 2019, and as a Graphic Designer at Otava Media from August 2017 to February 2018.

Nita Vera's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts for an undergraduate program in Orientation in Visual Arts, which they completed in 2005. Nita then enrolled at Helsingin palvelualojen oppilaitos in 2007 and obtained a degree in Dressmaker, specializing in Fashion/Apparel Design in 2009. In 2011, Nita attended the Academy of Pekka Halonen for Visual Communications, although it is unclear if they completed a degree there. From 2012 to 2016, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Photography from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Subsequently, Nita joined Aalto University in 2016 and earned their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Photography in 2018. Nita is currently pursuing their Doctor of Arts (PhD) degree at Aalto University in the Media Department.
