John Olav Vågen

John Olav Vågen has extensive work experience in the energy industry. John Olav started their career as an Electrical Engineer at STOLT-NIELSEN USA INC, where they worked onboard chemical ships and gained international experience. John Olav then joined ABB/Vetco Aibel as an Engineering Manager, overseeing several Maintenance & Modification projects. Afterwards, they joined Eni Norge AS, where they held multiple roles including Senior Project Engineer, Eni Norge Electrical Facility Responsible, and Facilities Technology Manager. In these positions, they played a crucial role in license follow-up activities, project management, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Currently, they are working at Vår Energi as a Technical Manager Operation, where they have been involved in developing operational processes, technology strategies, and asset integrity management.

John Olav Vågen attended the Maritime college, where they pursued a Marine Engineer degree in Electrical Automation. John Olav completed their education in 1988.
