Michiel van Noorden

Michiel van Noorden is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Senior Principal Geoscientist at Vår Energi since December 2018, where expertise is applied within the QA/QC team. Previously, Michiel held various roles at Eni Norge AS from February 2014 to March 2020, including Exploration Manager for the Barents Sea and Senior Explorationist, focusing on prospect generation, risk assessment, and geological studies. Prior to Eni Norge AS, a tenure as a Structural Geologist at Badley Geoscience Ltd. from April 2007 to January 2014 involved structural analysis in diverse geological settings. Academically, Michiel holds a PhD in Structural Geology from KU Leuven and an MSc in Structural Geology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
