Ole Kjetil Handeland

Ole Kjetil Handeland is a seasoned professional in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) management with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as HSSE Manager for Drilling & Wells at Vår Energi since March 2023, Handeland previously held several key positions at Neptune Energy from May 2015 to March 2023, including HSEQ Manager for Drilling & Wells and Operations HSE Lead. Prior experience includes roles as Senior HSE Advisor at GDF SUEZ E&P Norge AS and OTG, as well as leadership positions in HSE at Odfjell Drilling Technology and Odfjell Drilling Management, where initial experience was gained as a Roughneck. Handeland began the career offshore as a Decks hand with Odfjell Well Intervention. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in HSE from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, earned between 1994 and 1998.
