Christian Utvik

Christian Utvik is a highly experienced senior executive with a strong background in business development and sales within the maritime and energy sectors. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at VARD since January 2013, Christian has cultivated expertise in global vessel marketing strategies, design coordination, and client contract management. Previous roles at VARD include Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Sales Manager, alongside significant project management experience highlighted by the successful delivery of the NB800 Skandi Africa vessel. Christian's earlier career includes leadership positions at Schlumberger, where responsibilities encompassed managing North Sea operations, strategic planning, and P&L oversight. An academic background includes an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ålesund University College. Christian also contributes to the community as a board member for Aksla Idrettslag and has previous board experience with Vard Engineering AS and Smith International Norway AS.
