Dmitry Khabashesku has a diverse range of work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Dmitry has held various roles at different companies, starting with their current position as a Principal Electrical Engineer at Varda Space Industries since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Freeform as a Senior Electrical Engineer from 2022 to 2023, where they designed hardware for a 3D printer and completed various other design projects. Before that, they were at SpaceX for a significant period, where they held multiple roles including Senior Hardware Engineer, Avionics Electrical Engineer, and Avionics Test Automation Engineer. At SpaceX, they were responsible for designing avionics hardware for launch vehicles and spacecraft, performing analysis and testing, and developing automation software. Dmitry also has experience as an intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where they implemented an adaptive equalizer algorithm, and at Schlumberger and Ionwerks, Inc., where they gained practical engineering skills.

Dmitry Khabashesku obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Rice University from 2004 to 2006. In 2002 and 2003, they studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Private Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2011.
