Nina Bergman

International Secretary at Vårdförbundet

Nina Bergman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international relations and public health. Currently serving as the International Secretary for the Swedish Association of Health Professionals since August 2011, Nina engages with European affairs and represents Sweden at the World Health Assembly. Previous roles include International Coordinator at Stockholm County Council and International Relations Officer at the Swedish National Institute of Public Health, where responsibilities encompassed EU relations and governmental reporting on health programs. Additionally, Nina contributed to the Swedish National Institute for Working Life and was a member of EuroHealthNet. Nina holds a Master's degree in Future Public Service Strategies from Uppsala University.

Vårdförbundet (the Swedish Association of Health Professionals) is the trade union and professional organisation of four registered professions; nurses, midwives, biomedical scientists and radiographers.We represent more than 80 % of the workforce. Our main objective is to develop and strengthen the four professions that we represent and to promote each member's development in his or her professional role. Vårdförbundet is active in public debate, with the aim of influencing the development of healthcare and other societal issues, both nationally and internationally. We also represent managers, teachers and researchers within these professions, as well as students training to qualify for any of these four professions.
