Tom van Gessel

Tom van Gessel has a diverse work experience spanning various finance roles in different companies. Tom currently holds the position of Director of Finance at Varex Imaging Nederland B.V. since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Cordstrap, where they served as Global Finance Director from September 2020 to September 2022 and as Global Finance Manager from February 2019 to September 2020. Before Cordstrap, they served as Group Controller at Aalberts N.V. from January 2018 to January 2019 and as CFO of Aalberts Engineered Valves from January 2017 to December 2017. Tom also held the position of Group Controller at Aalberts N.V. in 2016. Tom also has experience as a Business Controller at Riwal and as a Finance Director at Esperite N.V. Tom previously worked as a Group Controller at Esperite N.V. and as a Financial Controller at MEDIQ. Tom began their career as a Trainee and later worked as a Supervisor at KPMG Accountants NV in the years 1998-2005. Tom van Gessel has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from HAN University of Applied Sciences, which they received from 1995 to 1998. Tom also has additional certification in Lean Six Sigma Orange Belt from CEDEO, obtained in 2014. Tom has attended executive programs in Compliance & Risk Management at Erasmus Economics & Business Executive Education from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they hold a RC, EMFC degree in Registercontroller and Executive Master of Finance and Control from the University of Amsterdam, as well as a drs. RA degree in Registeraccountant from Nyenrode Business University.
