Paul Russell has extensive experience in software engineering and management. Paul started their career at WordPerfect Corporation in 1993 as a Manager of Macro Consulting, where they created a consulting team to provide customized scripting solutions for clients. In 1996, they joined Corel Corporation, working on the WordPerfect SDK Toolkit Group, where they contributed to revenue generation through consulting efforts.

Paul then worked at THINK Subscription from 1999 to 2008, first as a Software Developer and then as the Director of Software Development. Paul played a key role in the re-architecture of the subscription management system, THINK Enterprise, and successfully launched the re-architected application. Paul later became the VP of Product Development, overseeing various teams and aligning objectives.

From 2008 to 2013, Paul joined Digital River as the VP of Product Development, leading technology innovation and driving the development of subscription solutions. Paul also provided general management oversight and acted as a technical consultant to clients.

Since 2013, Paul has been working at Varex Imaging Corporation and Varian Medical Systems, where they are the Senior Manager of Software Engineering. In these roles, they manage high-performing teams in creating software for digital flat panel x-ray devices in the medical industry. Paul ensures that the devices meet FDA regulations and are manufactured using strict design control processes. Additionally, they have implemented automated software development life cycles, resulting in cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

Paul Russell received their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University, which they attended from 1986 to 1989. Paul later pursued their Master of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Political Science at the University of Utah, where they studied from 1990 to 1993.
