Birgit Krause

Birgit Krause, PhD, currently serves as the QA Director at Varian Medical Systems, where responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Quality System requirements in line with regulatory standards since August 2019. Previously, Birgit held the position of Director Quality Germany at Aesica Pharmaceuticals GmbH, overseeing the German Quality Department and managing the Quality department budget from August 2014 to July 2019. Other notable roles include QA Manager at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Head of Microbiology at Merck Sharp & Dohme, and Project Manager Microbiology at Zimmer GmbH. Birgit began an academic journey as a Postdoc in Microbiology at EAWG, building on a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Diplom Biologie from The University of Bonn.
