Ryan Flatters

Ryan Flatters is an experienced professional in database services and programming, currently serving as Manager of Database Services at Varian Medical Systems since February 2008. With a robust background in third-party software migration analysis, including HL7 and DICOM RT, Ryan has provided extensive database support and analysis using Sybase, MS SQL Server, and Pervasive. Responsibilities include collaborating with product management to develop customer-facing documentation, reviewing product requirement documentation with software engineering, and participating in pre-sale technical communication. Project planning efforts involve designing complex, multi-month implementation plans, all while maintaining a focus on safety and quality in a highly regulated industry. Prior to Varian Medical Systems, Ryan worked as a Programmer Analyst III at Kingston General Hospital's Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, specializing in Radiation Oncology Systems. Ryan holds a 3-year diploma in Programmer Analyst from St. Lawrence College and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from Trent University.
