Huti Watson

Huti Watson is the current Ethics Advisor at Variant Bio. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder and CSO at Gencove from March 2016 to October 2018. Her work there was focused on creating a large genomic dataset that would be accessible to many people. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the New York Genome Center from March 2016 to May 2017. There, they developed a less expensive and more reliable genome sequencing technology to collect population-scale genomic data.

Huti Watson went to the University of Warsaw for their Master of Science in Molecular Biology and their Master of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. After that, they studied at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for their Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics.
