Jana Hands serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Variety - the Children's Charity of Alberta Association since January 2017, significantly contributing to the organization's growth and development of new programs to aid vulnerable children across Alberta. Prior to this role, Jana was the Co-Managing Director/Communications, leading organizational change and growth. Jana's experience includes serving as the Provincial Communications Director for Alberta Legal Clinics, where support was provided to various community legal clinics in Alberta, and as the Communications Director for Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse and the Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services, focusing on operational communication and strategic planning. Jana holds a Master's Degree in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from the University of Calgary, along with a Public Relations Certification from Mount Royal University.
