Jonas Haugan

Jonas Haugan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jonas started their career as a Sheet Metal Worker at Franke Onsrud Blikkslageri from July 2005 to June 2011. Jonas then worked as a Building Engineer Physics and Refurbishments at Hjellnes Consult as from July 2015 to January 2018. After that, they joined Multiconsult as a Building Engineer Physics from January 2018 to August 2019.

In August 2019, they became a Project Manager and Business Developer at Varig. As the first employee, they were involved in the company's early stages, wearing multiple hats and participating in workshops for market research and product development. From August 2020 to December 2021, they served as the Onboarding Lead at Varig, responsible for client onboarding and delivery management. During this time, they also supported the product team with domain expertise. In January 2022, they were promoted to Head of Research and Innovation, a position they held until June 2023. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer at VARIG.

Outside of their work at Varig, Haugan also held a role as a Styremedlem at AVSTIKKEREN BOLIGSAMEIE from April 2018 to June 2023.

Jonas Haugan's education history is as follows:

From 2013 to 2016, Jonas attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they earned a Bachelor's degree. Their field of study was in "Bygging/konstruksjon, ledelse og tilsyn."

In 2020, Jonas completed a course at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University in "Automasjon i Bygg." The course lasted for one year.

Prior to their studies at NTNU, Jonas attended Fagskolen Oslo Akershus from 2011 to 2013. There, they obtained a degree as a "Fagskoleingeniør" in "Bygging/konstruksjon, ledelse og tilsyn."

Apart from their formal education, Jonas Haugan also obtained a certification as a BREEAM In-Use Assessor from BRE Global Ireland in February 2021.
