John Beckett, CPCU has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 1976, they worked as the First Vice President at Cameron & Colby until 1983. From 1987 to 1998, they held the role of Vice President at AIG, where they managed the Excess Liability book of business. During this time, they also set up a new division called the Quarter Club to develop a lead umbrella facility for Fortune 500 business. John then joined Zurich Insurance in 1998 as the Senior Vice President, responsible for a $276 million book of Energy Casualty business. Moving on to Kiwanis in 2009, they became a member until 2014. Finally, they are currently serving as the Director of Alternative Markets at Varney Agency since 2014.

John Beckett, CPCU completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Maine. John attended the university from 1964 to 1968.
