Dung Tran

Dung Tran has a strong background in the energy industry, with over 25 years of experience. Dung is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Varsity Energy, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to that, Dung was the Head of Strategy and Business Development at Brightcore Energy from 2018 to 2019. Dung also held a significant role at Direct Energy, where they served as the Head of Retail Energy, Home Protection, and Solar from 2010 to 2018. Earlier in their career, Dung worked at Vistra Energy as the Head of Portfolio Management from 2001 to 2009 and at Enron as the Director of Business Development from 1994 to 2001. Through these various roles, Dung Tran has gained extensive experience in strategy, business development, and portfolio management in the energy sector.

Dung Tran attended Rice University from 1990 to 1994. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
