Julia is currently the Managing Director of Product Development at ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers), where they have been since 2017. Before that, they worked as the CTO Chief Technology Officer at Convoy Technologies, leading the design and new product development of software, services, and hardware. Prior to that, they served as the VP of Technical Product Development at Varta Microbattery, where they played a pivotal role in business development, technology design, and global team engagement. Julia also held numerous roles at Varta Microbattery, including National Sales & Marketing Manager and Technical Manager for new technologies and innovation. Throughout their career, Julia has achieved significant revenue growth, secured complex contracts, and successfully launched innovative technology solutions.
Julia Palu Samojeden has a diverse education history. Julia has pursued executive-level studies at three prestigious institutions: Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Harvard University, and MIT Sloan School of Management. While at MIT Sloan, they also engaged in a specialized program on Artificial Intelligence and its implications for business strategy. Additionally, they hold a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the New York Institute of Technology, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University Bucharest.
