Patrick Croonen is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in the Fintech and Regtech sectors. Currently serving as COO/CTO at Vartion since July 2018, Patrick oversees the development of Pascal, an AI-powered decision-support platform designed to enhance compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. Previously, Patrick founded Genematics Scientific, an AI organization focused on literature research and hypothesis validation, and held the position of IT Manager prior to that. Patrick also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Bioinformatician at Radboudumc, where responsibilities included reviewing publications related to in-silico analysis. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Biology from Radboud University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
