April M. Beisaw is a Full Professor of Anthropology at Vassar College, with a career spanning over two decades in various academic and consulting roles. From June 2012 to present, April has served as a Full Professor after progressing through the ranks from Assistant to Associate Professor. April has extensive experience as a Faunal Analyst for Zooarchaeology and Taphonomy Consulting, where analysis of bone specimens from archaeological sites across North America is a key responsibility. April was a Fulbright US Scholar at the Natural History Museum Vienna for a research project in early 2025 and previously held positions at institutions such as Binghamton University and Heidelberg University, focusing on anthropology teaching and research. April's diverse archaeological experience includes roles as Director of Research and an Archaeology Consultant, along with a solid educational background, culminating in a PhD in Anthropology from Binghamton University.
