Dr. Kimberly Williams Brown

Dr. Kimberly Williams Brown is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Associate Professor of Education at Vassar College since August 2017, after holding the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Brown’s teaching portfolio spans courses that intersect education with women's and gender studies, addressing themes such as contemporary issues in education, the rethinking of gender, multicultural issues in adolescent education, and intergroup dialogue on race and gender. Prior to Vassar College, Dr. Brown served as an Assistant Professor of Education and previously as an Instructor and Teaching Associate at Syracuse University. Dr. Brown earned a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from Syracuse University and holds a Master of Arts in Communications and Rhetorical Studies, a Master of Science in Human Resources, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from various institutions.
