Austin Weedfall

Austin Weedfall has a diverse work experience in corporate communications, public relations, account management, and program management. Austin is currently working as the Director of Corporate Communications for North America at VAST Data since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Manager of Public Relations at NetApp from December 2019 to February 2023. Before joining NetApp, Austin held various roles at Hotwire, including Director from November 2018 to December 2019, Senior Account Manager from September 2016 to November 2018, and Program Manager from May 2015 to September 2016. Austin had earlier positions as a Senior Account Executive at Brainerd Communicators from September 2014 to April 2015, and as a Client Executive at Burson-Marsteller from December 2013 to September 2014. Austin started their career as a Junior Associate at Finn Partners from July 2012 to December 2013 and gained international internship experience at Weber Shandwick and Rogers & Cowan in July 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at Boston University from January to May 2011, conducting research and creating presentations for Dr. Downes' book and colloquium speech. Austin also served as a Media Design & Promotions Intern at Ziibiwing Center from January to May 2010. Austin's earliest professional experience was as a Resident Assistant at Central Michigan University, Office of Residence Life from August 2008 to May 2010.

Austin Weedfall has a Master of Science degree in International Public Relations from Boston University College of Communication. Austin also holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Central Michigan University, with a focus on Public Relations and Media Design, Production, and Technology.
