Scott Buell is the Chief Legal Officer for VAST Data, responsible for all aspects of the legal function.
Scott has experience building legal teams from the ground up, and leading and scaling teams through hyper growth, large-scale financings and public offerings. Prior to joining VAST, Scott was General Counsel and SVP Strategy at Forter, where he also served as interim CFO and interim Head of HR. Scott led the Product, Privacy and Compliance legal function at MongoDB before and through their IPO, and spent five years as an associate at Cleary Gottlieb, with a focus on civil litigation, regulatory enforcement, and capital punishment defense.
