Sergey Kharnam

Sergey Kharnam has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sergey started their career in 1999 as an Access/VB Developer in the Israeli Air Force, where they developed a department management system. Sergey then worked as an Avionics Development Engineer at IAI, designing electrical and electronics systems for aircraft.

In 2006, Sergey joined Matrix and served as a Senior SW QA Engineer, focusing on quality assurance for a Leumi Bank project. Sergey later joined AudioCodes as a Senior QA and DevOps Automation Engineer, where they performed various types of tests and built testing setups.

From 2012 to 2017, Sergey worked at Dell EMC XtremIO as a Cyber Security Expert, responsible for product security features, audits, investigations, and certifications. Sergey also led the Bug Bounty program and participated in security conferences and training.

Sergey's next role was a Principal Cloud Development Engineer and Linux Expert at Scotiabank from 2017 to 2018. Following that, they joined UKG as a Principal DevSecOps Engineer, responsible for product security and maintenance.

In 2022, Sergey became a Principal DevOps Engineer at ZoomInfo, focusing on DevOps practices. Currently, they hold the position of Principal DevSecOps Engineer at VAST Data, starting in 2023.

Throughout their career, Sergey has demonstrated expertise in DevOps, DevSecOps, automation engineering, and quality assurance. Sergey has also been involved in technical team management and provisioning.

Sergey Kharnam holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Sergey also completed a Course of Java and J2EE Programming at John Bryce College from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, Sergey has pursued various on/offline courses in fields such as software architecture, programming, cloud, virtualization, storage, and networking between 2008 and 2018. Before that, they earned a B.A. in Economics and Marketing from Omsk State University (OSU) from 1994 to 1997. Sergey began their educational journey in the Exact Sciences Department of a high school, where they attained a GED degree covering subjects such as math, physics, chemistry, and information science from 1991 to 1994.
