Earl Lopez

Earl Lopez is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems. Currently serving as Sr Manager GNC at VAST since February 2023, Earl previously held the position of GNC Engineering Manager at Launcher from June 2021 to March 2023, where responsibilities included leading development for algorithms and managing a team of engineers. Prior roles include Lead GNC Engineer at Launcher and Mission Design Engineer at Virgin Orbit, contributing to trajectory design and analysis. Earl's career began at TASC, Inc., focusing on trajectory design and simulation analysis from 2007 to 2018. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
