Garrett Reisman

Garrett Reisman is a distinguished aerospace engineer and professor with extensive experience in human spaceflight and spacecraft operations. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at SpaceX since March 2011, Garrett Reisman has held several key leadership roles including Director of Space Operations and Director of Crew Operations, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing Dragon spacecraft missions and developing human interfaces for Crew Dragon. In addition to their role at SpaceX, Garrett Reisman is a Professor of Astronautical Engineering at the University of Southern California, where courses on Human Spaceflight are taught. Prior to their tenure at SpaceX, Garrett Reisman served as a mission specialist with NASA, participating in significant space missions, including STS-132, and contributing to the development of cockpit displays for the Space Shuttle. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, complemented by dual bachelor's degrees in Economics and Management and Technology from the Wharton School of Business.
