Andrew CHEN

Andrew CHEN has over 14 years of work experience. Andrew began their career in 2006 at Honeywell as a Firmware Engineer Intern, where they optimized H. 264 encoding algorithms on both PC and DSP platforms for video streamer development and H. 264 media player programming on PC. Andrew also tested Digital Video Recorders and network surveillance software. In the same company, they were promoted to Firmware Engineer, where they developed embedded Linux applications for the first generation of H. 264 video encoder in China market and created product testing process with detailed test cases for digital video recorders. Andrew then took on the role of Video Validation Team Leader, followed by Product Manager, Global Video Recorder Product Leader, and Global Video Software Offering Management Leader. In 2020, they joined Vastai Technologies as Director Global Marketing.

Andrew CHEN obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2000 and 2002. Andrew then attended Ecole centrale de Nantes from 2002 to 2004, where they earned an Engineer's degree (Ingénieur) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. In 2004, CHEN received a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2011, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Finally, between 2016 and 2018, CHEN earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International MBA from The University of British Columbia.
