Ben van der Sanden

Ben van der Sanden is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operational support, asset management, and maintenance within the energy sector. Currently serving as Director of Operational Support & HSE and Head of Asset Management Support at Vattenfall since October 2019, Ben previously held the role of Directeur Warmtebedrijf Rotterdam a.i. at Warmtebedrijf Rotterdam from June 2024 to February 2025, and spent over two decades at Nuon in various leadership positions focused on asset management execution, project management, and maintenance engineering. Ben holds a Master’s degree in Business in Energy Systems from Delft University of Technology and multiple qualifications in mechanical engineering and gas turbines, enhancing expertise in energy production and technical management.
