Björn Sjölund

Björn Sjölund is an experienced professional in the fields of information and cyber security management, currently serving as the Director of Information & Cyber Security Management at Vattenfall since August 2017. In this role, Björn oversees the group's overall information security strategy and serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Previous positions at Vattenfall include Security Strategy and Transformation Lead, Information Security Officer, and Data Protection Officer for the Nordics, where responsibilities encompassed developing security strategies and implementing data protection frameworks compliant with regulations such as GDPR. Prior to Vattenfall, Björn worked at Transcendent Group as a Senior Information Security Consultant and at KPMG Sweden as an IT Risk Consultant Manager, focusing on IT governance, risk management, and auditing across various sectors. Björn holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Hanken School of Economics and has completed exchange studies at Hawaii Pacific University.
