Henning Eklund

Henning Eklund is a Policy Adviser at Vattenfall since January 2022, previously serving as a Policy Adviser at GEODE from July 2018 to January 2022. Eklund gained experience at the European Commission as a trainee in the DG Energy from October 2017 to February 2018 and worked as a Desk Officer and EU Coordinator at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sweden, from May 2015 to September 2017. Additionally, Eklund was an Associate Fellow in the Russia and Eurasia Programme at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs from September 2016 to July 2017 and completed a trainee position in the Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sweden, from September 2014 to February 2015. Prior experience includes a role as Collector Administrator at GE Capital from March 2008 to February 2012 and a trainee position at ENTSO-E in June 2010. Eklund holds a Master’s Degree in European Political Studies from the College of Europe and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Uppsala University, along with a certificate in Russian language from Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
