Steve Tombs is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience across various roles in the mining industry. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director and General Manager at Red 5 Limited, Steve manages operations at the Darlot Gold mine and has previously held positions such as Siana Underground Project Manager at Greenstone Resources Corporation and various managerial roles at AngloGold Ashanti, Placer Dome, and Newcrest Mining. Steve's career began as a Mining Engineer and Quarry Manager at North Kalgurli Mines, and spans several decades, encompassing operations, business improvement, and project management. Steve holds a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Cape Town and an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
